Smash and grab

The Sun newspaper revealed that a thief made the biggest mistake of his life when he stole a laptop from a parked vehicle. Little did the thief know but the vehicle and the laptop belong to SAS veteran Andy McNab.

The Sun reported that the small time crook would probably not have dared smash the window of McNab’s Audi Q7 had he known who the owner was. Andy only popped into a West London newsagent to buy a paper when thief broke into his and two other vehicles.

This demonstrates that all vehicles are potential targets and it only takes a split second for someone to break the glass and gain access to personal belongings. If an automotive security film was used then the thief would have been stopped or delayed in the act.

Andy commented that the thief stole from the vehicles because he couldn’t be bothered to go out and earn. A detective on the case added “I just hope we catch this chancer before Andy does.”
